PAIN ITSELF

Grief and Trauma

You know where this started.

Some people slide into worry, sadness or anger without a clear reason. In other cases, there is a clear cause of the feelings. This is one of those cases. There was a specific event, maybe even several. Something deeply painful, that caused the feelings of uncertainty and helplessness.

This is a special type of pain.

Painful experiences and memories don’t just leave someone with painful feelings. They often strike to the heart of a person’s sense of themselves, the world and their place in it. You can’t just forget the memories or erase the impact. It’s important to find a place for them. That place needs to change the impact from something that holds you back to something that helps you grow. It isn’t easy.

Time doesn’t always heal it.

Often painful experiences do lose some of their hold over time. But some don’t start to heal until they are addressed in the right way. You can’t make it okay. What happened wasn’t okay. But you can change what it means for the future.

Reclaim the future.

I’ve helped a lot of people through pain from the past. Compassion sets the stage, but finding meaning and strength in hardship is a very personal journey – no two are alike. This is too important to ignore. It’s time to heal. Call me today.
