PAIN TURNED INWARD

Worry and Sadness

There are a lot of ways pain turns inward. Disappointment and frustration turn into self-doubt and criticism. Struggle starts to take over and sucks the joy out of things that used to be fun. That feeds into hesitation and avoidance, or even just a deep sense of sadness and exhaustion. Comforting a person in this place doesn’t always make it better even in the short-term. Just trying to let it be isn’t helping either. Over time, it gets clearer that this is something that needs to be addressed. It’s not getting better. It’s getting worse.

The right help can change a person’s life.

No one struggles with worry or sadness because they want to. The things people try to make it better aren’t failing because of bad intentions. They simply aren’t what helps. There are things you can do to heal and break from doubt and sadness. But you need guidance on how to do it.

Find the way out of the trap.

Here’s the problem. When pain turns inward, it leaves a person filled with sadness and doubt. Trying to change those feelings can leave the person feeling like there is something wrong with them for feeling the feelings in the first place… which is another reason to worry and feel sad. The cycle feeds itself, and the intuitive way people try to solve it often makes it worse. There are ways to help in a way that gets past this mental block. I’ve worked with a lot of people to do it. If this is where you are stuck, let me help you break free. Give me a call, let me help.
